dive into art
The selection of artists' projects presented here is neither completely random, nor can it claim to be 'curated' in the sense that it would follow a consistent thematic approach. Discussions about 'art' (please substitute your favourite term, such as 'new media art', 'media art', 'net art' or whatever it may be) are usually more heated than what is justified in relation to the scale of distribution of a work, or other markers of so-called 'success'. In this sense, there has been recent speculation and argument about the 'death of net art', and currently software art seems to be the flavour of the month.

This should be mentioned as an orientation mark, like a buoy in the open sea, but not with the aim of joining this debate. The work has something to do with this (the net) and that (software art), or both, but that's not the criterium. For once, we will play dumb and say that all we want to offer is some 'nice' things: some things to play around with that hopefully give some ideas of what is possible and where there might be interesting cross-connections between those fields of art, programming and networking. Some of the works can almost be called 'classics' (even so they are just a few years old), others come straight out of development.
